What is the title of the manual that you purchased (so as not to recommend it again).

I find that the best manuals are the old manuals . These original books have a lot of useful info. May take a while to find, but it's worth it. Reproductions of orig would be ok too.

Re: seeking good service manual 1933
Too generic. Stick with an early Ford manual that pertains to your model.

There is some service information in the owner's manual which is completely specific to your vehicle. However, since your car is a four and Ford did not publish a '33 owner's manual uniquely for four-cylinder passenger cars, you'll need both the V-8 owner's manual and the commercial/truck owner's manual (which includes four-cylinder information). There is also a considerable amount of service information in the Service Bulletins that Ford published at that time. Again, since fours were headed for being cancelled as an offering, the '33 service bulletins have very little information regarding the engine. They are still useful, however, for information regarding your rear axle and some other aspects not related to the engine compartment. The solution is to obtain a reprint copy of the '32 Service Bulletins as they provide nearly equal coverage to both fours and V-8s and the differences between a '32 and '33 four-cylinder engine are minor. The chassis and body parts catalogues are also very educational. The '33 versions are extremely rare and have not been reproduced. The '34 versions cover both the the '33 and '34 model years and have been reproduced. |

The best one is by George or Victor Page. G.M.
