I agree with the '29. The speedometer, the hood and the radiator shell kinda say '29 (I think) I have a '30 coupe.

The other 3 wheels are 29... Another car with that hole in the dash rail for a switch!

The steering column is a later 30-31 2 tooth unit. Look for a date stamped on the left side of the firewall right above the flange. While the motor may have been changed, look for number and that may give another clue. |

Junk yards did good business in the 1930's so people changed out lots of parts to keep on the road. The 30's steering was what we would call an e-z steer mod today.

You have a 1928 or early 1929 Tudor that has a 1930-1 steering wheel, left front wheel, and water outlet, along with later headlights.
The forged taillight bracket mounted to the body means you should have a drum taillight. The steering also has the dash mounted 1931 steering bracket. The generator and fan are post Model A. The water pump packing nut is 1930-1, and I'd guess the car came with a bayonet style dipstick, rather than the later loop style. That looks like it is a good car to restore, as I don't see any large rust holes, and the missing parts are fairly easy to find. Of course another plus is the minimal wood in the Tudor. So the consensus seems to be it is a 1928 Tudor?

Hi, Nice car! Your car is an early 1929. The crank hole is the bell shaped for 1929. Rear tail light mount on the body is for 1928 to early 1929.

For what it's worth... I'll cast my vote with Luke, Tom, et al. It started as a '28 but has later mechanical additions. As the owner of a late '31 that about exhausts my knowledge!

I just noticed the '28 style brake shafts in the front- the tapered style, these were phased out in late '28.
