Default Crossing my fingers!

Well, tomorrow I'm hoping to have the latest sample block (which is only the second casting) ready to take to Kevin Prus Jr. so he can start building it for a demo run. I'm very anxious to see this running, or, at the very worst, test assembled to see how it looks.

This is a very interesting project. I saw an early block of yours at Hershey in the back of a truck. I think there will definitely be a demand for these, especially with B size mains.

As hoped, I did get the block ready for the test build. The next couple of weeks will be exciting for me. We have all the parts, all we need to do is a little finish work and then assemble it. Hopefully, there are no hidden secrets to spoil it!

Hey Tod,
'second casting' ?
Second cast iron stock A block casting ?
I'm guessing that you've not gotten any alum blocks cast yet
Thanks for the update

No aluminum blocks yet. I need my own foundry!

I did pick up the first sample of the new single aluminum downdraft intake, though.

I took the block to Kevin Prus Jr. today and we tried to hammer out a schedule for getting this second casting finished and running for a video. He is much busier than I figured so my hopeful/delusional expectation of a quick turn around is not going to happen. So I will have to wait a couple of weeks longer. Not so bad. The time will fly by. I'll be focused on other projects in the mean time and doing what I can to aid him as I can.
