Default Intermix Speedo-Cable?

I have a October 1930 chassis and a oval speedo. Will I have a problem using a early cable with late speedo drive? Where the drives the same?

Bob, what company manufactured your speedo? My April 1930 Town Sedan has a Northeast oval speedo without a trip odometer and I am having trouble finding a cable for it. The speedometer housing cable attachment has male threads, necessitating a unique female coupler on the cable. I do know Snyder's sells special cables for mis-matched components such as early-car with late-speedo for example.

A speedo shop that specializes in BIG RIG stuff, can usually make you up a "special" cable & housing. They're "expurts" @ adapting stuff. Just take your drive turtle & speedo & tell them how long you want it, EASY!
