Model A Triangulated 4 Link with fenders suspension build help question
Model A Triangulated 4 Link with fenders suspension build help question.
Began to install the four link and ran into a problem with the running board braces. As you know the Model A frame gradually gets wider as it gets to the rear. When i try to put the bottom bars on in a parallel way to straight i run into problems with the shock angle. In the pictures the shock degree is about 20 but the front mount is out away from the frame in that configuration. If i move to the inside the shock mount has to come over creating 0 degree angle which i think is bad for hot rod suspension. The upper shock mounts are welded in a professional way and i really dont want to move them either and i do believe they are in the right spot. I was tempted to angle the bottom shock mount on the axle but i think that would create a bind which violates the principal of the entire tri assembly. Looking for some good quality realistic suggestions from guys who are familier with this set up. Thanks for LQQking! |

You will have better luck getting your questions answered on the Hot Rods and Customs forum.
