Default new fees for selling on ebay.......

I have sold several cars on ebay over the years and the general fee was 125.
for a newbie.
I went to list my 2012 colorado last night and the fees have dropped significantly. Possibly due to the competition from other venues. I have had good success with selling on ebay, when I have valued my cars appropriately.

new fees are 19. for a weeks listing, 49. for up to a month and 79. for their deluxe package.
You obviously have to read the fine print and decide whats best for you.

I am not a big fan of ebay, as a seller, but the selling of cars on their site
has been good for me. Also buying car parts has been equally good. Otherwise
I no longer sell parts there, as I have found it not worthwhile.

anyway, just a heads up if you want to sell your project and not spend
a fortune on its sale.

Wait until they send you a 1099 for the money you earned selling your stuff. Keep good records so you can offset your profit with your expenses for Uncle Sam.

I was curious about Ebay's revenues as I sell a lot of things on eBay, but don't get a lot of action on my account as I sell a couple of things a month. Nothing major, just odds and ends of things.

Their 2021 revenue was $10.4 billion. That is a lot of revenue, especially considering their fee structure. I was surprised. That said, here is what one analyst had to say about the company: https://seekingalpha.com/article/453...ap-poor-growth

Best place to get cheap ChiCom stuff direct without the US seller markup. I bought a radiator for $70 that was $150 at my local parts house. Both came from the same ChiCom company. I had to wait an extra couple weeks for "free" delivery (why don't they just say delivery is included in the price?).

I gave up on ebay about 15 years ago.It was just not for me.About 10 years ago I got a series of emails from ebay and some payment service asking me to produce the motorcycle of return the money.??? I had no idea what they were talkng about.I cooperated with them, and answered anything they asked me.Somehow pictures of a Harley I used to own,and sold on craigslist, wound up being sold on ebay through my defunct account. Some poor guy wanted his $12000.back from me.I had sold the bike 2 years before, and never listed it on ebay.It got to be real frustrating trying to explain to the ebay rep when all she would do was to parrot, just let him have the bike or give him his money back.It took months, but they finally figured out I didn't list and sell the bike on ebay.I have no idea how the buyer made out.

eBay motors selling cars/trucks, depends on what package you chose re the cost. There is not just one pricing level.
