Default Re: Police verion of the eV-8 engine

"OBAS" Essentially a Merc motor 4" crank. with different heads. I found this OBAS engine in a 49 F1 truck out of Wyoming. I assumed it was transplanted from a firetruck or something due to the large generator. the truck was nothing special but I had to have the engine. the heads are off so I could free up some stuck valves, I still intend to cc the heads someday.

the engine needs rebuilt and will probably go in my 51 F-2 MH truck, thinking of using the big gen as well and maybe power an old radio of some sort maybe make the truck look like an old forest service rig ?? its still in 100 pieces.
we discussed this engine here a few years ago, boy time does fly...

some literature .
