Frame Spreader
I want to buy a frame spreader (I know that I can make one but right now I would prefer to buy one. Bert’s list’s one but has been out of stock for some time. Does anybody have one to sell me? Or know where I could buy one? BTW Snyder’s does not even show one.

Re: Frame Spreader
Just a thought, but would a rear spring spreader get the job done?

Re: Frame Spreader
Our club owns one but I am an hour away from where the clubs tools are stored. I would rather buy one that drive 4 hours (and buy the gas to do so). I have a frame spreader but I have no idea if it would work. Does anybody here know?

Re: Frame Spreader
I think that the spring spreader would be too wide, also most likley will not clear the transmission. Might work though
While nice to have, with a little pushing and some wiggling the engine might just go in. When they give you the most trouble is after you change the rubber in the rear mounts |

Re: Frame Spreader
I have one I could lend you, but have no idea how far away you are from the Boston area.

Re: Frame Spreader
I have used my spring spreader and some 4x4 sections before. I have a bottle jack and some 4 x 4s that I have thought about using before. It's amazing that the little bit the frame comes inward can be so difficult to overcome.

Re: Frame Spreader
Can you have someone bring one to a club meeting to let you use?
