Default head leak

I have new rebuilt engine with Snyders 5.5 head, not installed by me but the builder..I now have a small leak at rear of head and have torqued all studs to 55 pounds...question is when I replace head gasket should I take studs out and put thread sealant on them so no water comes up studs..I know the builder did not do this...I know it should have a B head gasket and I will use the copper spray before installing...

Hi! I will email you the proper way to torque the head. I have never had a failure! Of course that's me and i'm old. Follow to the letter. this was provided to me by Larry Brumfield! its on its way. I do use anti-seize on mine.
