Bier Holder
Ever loose track of where you set down your bier in the shop? Henry Ford must have been a pantry sipper. Why else would a bier can fit perfectly into the pinion end of his torque tube use don his model A's? Using it makes it hard to misplace,or if you still do, maybe it is time to turn in?

Re: Bier Holder
A bier is a stand on which a corpse, coffin, or casket containing a corpse is placed to lie in state or to be carried to the grave.

Re: Bier Holder
Not only was Ol’ Henry an industrial world-changer and friend of the beer-drinking man, he was, by all appearances, clairvoyant. Or perhaps, a time traveler. Why? Because according to records from the canning industry, beer was first tested by The American Can Company long after the Model A was no longer in production. To wit:
“In June of 1934, four cans of beer were delivered to one thousand homes in the Richmond, Virginia area. They were delivered with a questionnaire and the results were better than anyone could have expected. By January 1935 Krueger’s canned beer was being sold throughout the city.” https://www.thespruceeats.com/beer-can-history-353265

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Beer (German: Bier) is a major part of German culture. German beer is brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, which permits only water, hops, and malt as ingredients; and stipulates that beers not exclusively using barley-malt, such as wheat beer, must be top-fermented.[2][3] Does the picture look like a coffin or a Bier? |

Re: Bier Holder
I just returned from Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany, I do not think that qualifies as bier.

Re: Bier Holder
The only "real" beer in Germany, comes from the south...........
Ive had many a sip at the various convents along the way. Of course if youre a northerner, you have your own opinion, which is most likely wrong. |

Re: Bier Holder
I am of German decent, Oktoberfest is celebrated in Munich, in the south of Germany considered to be Bavaria. It is my most favorite time of year. I am not lacking in acquaintance what "real" bier taste like.
Had no inkling of the nerve this simple little joke would touch. I think we need to lighten up here a little, if northern Germans disagree with us, that's fine, let it be, that leaves more bier for us. My parents used to describe this season as a time of "Gemütlichkeit"....Let us enjoy and be happy in it, let there be good will to all.... |

Re: Bier Holder
Many disagreements were settled over a stein of bier. That picture makes me want to go out and buy a six-pack of St. Pauli. Good bier and a lovely girl serving it...does it get any better?

Re: Bier Holder
Yes, even Ben Franklin understood! That's why everyone in the picture is smiling. By the way, I like Miller too.

Re: Bier Holder
Question: Considering it begins in late September why did the precise, organized, logical, efficient Germans name it Oktoberfest?
a) They’re Bavarian, not to be confused with the Northern Germans. b) Because they were drunk. c) Ach, Günter, you’re always taking life too seriously. Drink up!

Re: Bier Holder
Correct answer: It originated on 12 October 1810 celebrating the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.
Today it is held over a two week period ending on the first Sunday in October. If I had to pick one of your answers I would have to go with "C" |
