Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I am using the Holley 1-4 lb adjustable regulator........it stays where you set it and I have had mine installed for about 6-7 years........would recommend it highly...... You can get it at Speedway.....

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I have used both the MR Gasket round ones with a dial and the low pressure holley. Both have served me well.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I use a Holley race type.
It will go from 0 to 15 lb. You can get a remote gauge for them also. I set mine at 6 lb for a pair of 48's. |

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
Thank you fellow Ford Barners for the replies, I checked 3 local parts stores and only found the Mr. Gasket brand, so I will give it a try. And I will look into geting one of the other brands for a back up.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I put the Mr.Gasket regulator on yesterday, with the new fuel pump I got from reds headers a couple years ago, I just found out it was putting out way too much fuel, im told because of the new springs on the pump arm are to stiff, anyway, I moved the dial to 2 1/2,but did not check it until today, and it was at 3 psi, so I moved the dial to 2 psi and it tested at 2 1/2 psi.
so even thou you put the regulator at 2 1/2 check it with the fuel pump pressure gauge to make sure it really is at 2 1/2. I will check it again in a month just to make sure, as I dont plan on taking it back unless the messurement is off. rich Last edited by 34flathead; 06-06-2010 at 01:11 AM. |

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I put the Mr Gasket brand on and tested the pressue with a new gage and it puts out 1 psi. at the lowest setting, 1& 1/2 psi. at the 1 psi setting, it runs o.k. on the lowest setting. I have only put 30 miles on it so far.
