Default New Person.

Good afternoon. I joined the Ford Barn about a month ago and just been watching from the background. I have not seen a place for introductions so here it is.
My name is Ruthie, I'm retired and new to Model A's. I can turn a wrench but my computer skills not so much.
I may have a question or two down the road. Please don't get bored with some of my somewhat obvious questions.
I will be popping in and out.
Thanks Ruthie.

Ruthie,

Welcome. Just a suggestion. Include your general location in your profile because sooner or later it will be important. If there is a good event coming up that is close someone will mention it. If you ask for recommendations about a supplier or mechanic you want one across town and not across the country. If you have a question about antifreeze I will tell you that you don't need it, of course you need to know I live in southern California. And the list goes on.

Welcome to the Fordbarn Ruthie! You will notice that this is the forum for the V8 Fords. You indicated that you have a Model A, and there is a forum specifically for them.

You will find help with your Fordbarn related computer question here, too.

Welcome again, and come back soon.

Thanks for opening the Fordbarn door. You will be happy with the "bales" of help and knowledge stored in the loft.

Hi Ruthie, thanks for the intro and adding your location. As Charlie mentioned, knowing approximately where you are located plays a big part in allowing us to properly help you with your needs and questions. A lot can be learned here regardless of with group you wind up reading or post in. Welcome to Fordbarn!! Please post a picture of your car or maybe consider adding it to your Avatar info.

Welcome aboard. I have a Model A as well, 1931 Victoria. I cut my Ford teeth on that car. I also own a few flathead V8's. Eventually you'll want one of each because who can own just one early ford vehicle! Glad to have you here.

I did have a 1938 PU (the one with the oval grill) back in... well a few years ago. First car/truck I ever seen with a locking steering column. And a crank open windshield!

Welcome, love to see photos of that truck and your current project even if it is an A.
