Has cool ad inside of front cover for 390 and 406.

Jist of it is.390 will get that old Fairlane or Galaxie going but the 406 is

practically a racing engine.Long track.Daytona Superspeedway. Which was

brand new then.

Side note.Figured out why I am obsessed with getting '65 Fairlane or

Galaxie model kit.

In Wikipedia they had the 427 Galaxie in the article with 406.

Think is was from seeing bunches of them in the races on tv.

Just that shape of the '65 Fords gets stuck in your head.

Think the 427 really flourished in that later body style.

The 390 Fairlane is not too shabby either.

Looks like one on track on back cover inside of the book.Car has 375 hp on the fenders.

Outside cover is red on red Galaxie convert with your guessed it.406!

Think the 406 and 427 saved Ford when Chrysler had the 413 and 426

out already and then Ford really got jumped on by the Hemi 426.

Had to build the SOHC 427 to stand up to it.

Personally I would be happy with a nice clean 352.
