Fall In The Rockies
As you might have heard, we got our first snow storm two days ago. It was 28 degrees this morning when I filmed this. Hope you enjoy it.

Re: Fall In The Rockies
I prefer 3/4 shots but I can always use one of these.

Re: Fall In The Rockies
What a great scenic video (and sound). Was that a slight stumble when you hit the gas at the 3:30 mark? I'm guessing you have a good working heater in the Merc. Mine has been disconnected as I think the core leaks.

The issue is that I have the heat riser blocked off to the calibrator for summer running (fewer issues with vapor lock), so the gas is cold, rather than being preheated to a vapor state. It was 28 degrees when I made the video, so all my efforts to keep the engine running cooler, basically kept it from warming up too. It's going to be 80 here on Thursday, yet we have had the heat on in the house for the last week. Just another Fall day here in the Rockies. I do have a good heater, but it is used more to taking heat off the engine on a 90 degree day, rather than heating up the driver during the winter. When I drive it on the dry days during the winter months, the heat coming through the firewall and floor is just about enough to keep you warm with the top up. |

Re: Fall In The Rockies
Is that left side exhaust manifold a special after market part? I don't recall dual exhaust being an option on the 52-53 Mercs. My front cross over pipe has a small hole burnt in it that might be an excuse for me to go full dual exhausts.
