35 roadster drivers kick panel.
Who sells good repro kick panels?
I’ve looked online and they sell fiberglass ones that need to be painted. The one I have is cardboard. |

It (board) is available in about any color you can imagine and is heavy stock. It would be simple to trace and cut new ones.

If you're seeking originality, the challenge could be the texture or grain pattern of the available cardboard or matting, hence the reason for the fiberglass reproductions (at least for some of the period Fords).

Re: 35 roadster drivers kick panel.
I did think of Hobby Lobby at first, great place. But I did want to try to keep some grain and really did not want to go fiberglass. I might as well install fiberglass fenders and lighten her up!
I was hoping that someone had a good cardboard panel. |

I didn't realize yours had a grain pattern. The '40 closed cars had vertical embossments that I carefully press for my restorations. Even the Lebaron Bonney panels sold for these vehicles in the past were plain finish.

It varies by model year and body type. For the '32s, for example, it ranges from the pressed-in 'chicken track' pattern like on the firewall pad to artificial leather covered and in the case of the former it's multi-colored (black on brown) in some applications. They are further complicated by having bound edges on the top and back sides. |
