Tiny:
What program are you using to get that faded, scratched ol
timey look?
Some look like they were taken with a brownie box camera 60 - 70 years ago.
They look GREAT
Now get yourself in some period clothing...and you're THERE

That's a shame to see those beautiful brick buildings going to ruin. Wish I had the one by your car. I'd give it a roof and windows and park my cars in it.

What were the buildings used for?

Photos taken at old fort Hancock in sandy hook New Jersey. The fort goes back to the colonial era, at its zenith they had multiple coastal defense artillery batteries to defend New York harbor. It is now a national park and sadly falling to pieces.

Nice background Christian. That's what I do. When ever I'm driving around town I'm looking for good backdrops wether I'm in the A or not. There's an orange brick alley downtown I spotted the other day. Now I'll watch it for time of day when the light is right. Then go shoot it

these enjoyable photos cause me to reflect in a different direction: how I was told years ago by old-timers who lived through the era, that you car could break down and you could coast to the curb and leave it without worrying about it getting stripped, ransacked or stolen; that many car owners simply left keys in the car, usually without fear of it getting stolen; that downtowns in urban areas were safe and vibrant and generally free from muggings, robberies, etc.

On the down side, if you ever get transported back to those years, get prepared for a lot of flats.

I guess Bonnie and Clyde didn't visit their neighborhood.
