Default Rebuilding early holley?

In process of restoring an double venturi Holley carb. and need to know if the inverted cap jet was used? The one that has the indented opening first on thread side. I haven 2 of these in my collection. I was able to save the original double venturi. Thank you, JD

That's how my double venturi is. There was a recent thread on this very subject.

The January Ford Service Bulletin shows this jet information for the early carburetor

The early double venture carbs should us the #19 cap jet that has the orifice on the bottom.

Yes it was, but a later-type with nozzle at the top works equally well on it. ( and don't rely on the actual jet nozzle size to be accurately stated by any number stamped on the jet- over the decades people have often enlarged them by "cleaning" them with bits of wire etc! ) See Steve Pargeter's excellent booklet "Zenith Model A Guidelines"
