Value of parts
I wonder if you guys can give me a rough Idea of what I should ask for some parts I have? When I bought my 29 Tudor, It came with an extra transmission, a flywheel, a clutch pressure plate, an intake manifold, an exhaust manifold with heater, and the original generator and distributor. Also a gasket set, and some small new parts. I do not know the condition of any of these parts. I just sold my A, and have no plans to have another one, so want to sell the parts. I prefer to sell all together in one lot. I will sell cheap, just to clean out the shed. So what should I ask to sell quick???

Re: Value of parts
You might be able to get a couple hundred for the lot. If any of it is rebuilt ask more.

Re: Value of parts
Nothing is rebuilt, just used parts. I was hoping to get $100 for the lot.

Re: Value of parts
the tranny is worth 75. but takes forever to sell. so 100.-200. would be fair for everything.

Re: Value of parts
Be sure to figure out whether the trans has a multi-disk clutch or single-disk clutch. That might be important to a potential buyer.

Re: Value of parts
My experience has been not long after you sell it, usually at a discounted price, you'll discover you need it and buy one back at a premium price. Just saying...

Re: Value of parts
That would be true, but I wanted an A for several years, then when I got one, I found out I really didn't use it enough to warrant having it. I would much rather have a different classic in my garage. So, I am 99.9% sure I will never have an A again. And I doubt if I have that many years left to be driving anyway. Also, I need to also sell my 64 Ranchero, before I will buy another car, and that may never happen, as I seem to not have any interest in it.

I have found many buyers of my cars, dont want the extra parts. Not everyone is a hoarder like me. |

Contact the International Ford Victoria Association. They have a youth restoration program for those under the age of 21. They might has a use for the parts and you would be helping the next generation.
For more information, please contact: Bob Moore, President Model A Youth Restoration Award 13478 Egbert St. Sylmar, CA 91342 http://www.victoriaassociation.org/youthaward.htm

Re: Value of parts
The manifold with heater cover is a $50 item all day long. Gasket set With head gasket $25
Distributor $10 Transmission.... I consider each one is a core @ $15 max. Tested and ready to install with shift tower $200 Now at a auction or swap meet I can by everything for $25 tops. |
