Default front spring bushings

Hi All,

I am planning on pulling the front end for a rebuild this winter. I will be rebushing the front spring and perches along with looking at the A frame ball.

Question on the bushings that go in the frame. I am planning on knocking the old ones out and cleaning up the holes. Then putting the new bushings in the freezer to make pressing them in easier. Would warming the area around the bushing hole with a MAPP torch be beneficial or harmful? I was thinking of just warming up the metal so that it would expand just a smidge. That and the frozen bushing, I figure they would go in really easy.

Or should I just use my really big 'C' clamp and just push them in with a coating of Kroil?

Mike
