For Left Hand drive cars, the Clutch Cross Bar and Linkages have a long way to travel, seeing as the Clutch Pedal is on the left side of the Brake. On Right Hand Drive cars, the Linkage for the Clutch is attached close to the end of the Shaft where it is immediately in line with the Clutch Pedal. Adapting these parts to LHD seems that much more complicated than RHD. Another advantage of RHD is that the Accelerator Pedal is over against on the right side of the car, rather than in the centre of the car? That is one advantage of having a RHD car, however, removing a Starter Motor when it is in close proximity to the Steering Box is another case altogether, and not an easy task, depending on model. That looks like the same part they used on some of the 30-31 AA trucks
for the stop light switch, part # AA-13511. Bob |
