Sadly Monte the big question right now is which type of BP oil is easier to get off a pelican.

Re: Who all has checked in -----
Its a mess down there. I hope they get busy with that relief well soon. This method has been used all over the world an has great success. The heck of it is that the mess is still growing till something is done. They were talkin bout the big box this a.m. and worried bout it freezing up. That was a thought that I hadn`t even considered. It is a very interesting subject for me as I have spent my adult life in an around the drilling industry. When its all boiled down the oilfield is run by politics.(opps- probably not supposed to say that) Lookin forward to your wisdom Jack. How`s the new ol car running? Ready for an oil chg. an new tires yet? Monte

Re: Who all has checked in -----
Hi, just came over from the HAMB...I'm 'Atwater Mike' over there. No stranger here, been using Fordbarn for years. Shelly did a great job, but am amazed and relieved that Ryan took it over!
I logged in as '48 Merc, as "All hopped up flatheads are '48 Mercs", just look thru any 1950s issues of Hot Rod mag. I drive a '55 F100, with a temporary 2nd generation 350 SBC, too busy with hot rod projects to change it right now...need the truck...when I perform feats of 'Exhibition' and get asked "Whatta ya got in there?" I always say, "48 Merc!" Thanks for the rescue of a great site, Ryan. It goes with the HAMB. |

Re: Who all has checked in -----
Hi. I've been scoping the Ford Barn Classifieds for a long time but never posted anything. I've been on the HAMB also as WhiteZombie for some time and I am completely addicted to it, and I'm looking forward to becoming addicted to the Ford Barn. It will be great talking to Ford people...there is nothing better than a Ford built with Ford parts by a Ford person.

This is great. I always loved all facets of the Jalopy Journal and now having the Ford Barn at our fingertips and being able to load photos using one's browser is very cool to say the least. Great so far Ryan!

Great new site - moving too fast though yet (like the HAMB). Hopefully some decent threads come up and it slows down a bit.

Re: Who all has checked in -----
Houlda mentioned my cars. Had a glass bucket known as the Peter Beater. Had a flatty in it. Broke it good (6,000 rpm shifts are hard on parts). Replaced it w/a built AMC I6. Sold it. Caddy....nevermind that. Now I have a '51 Ford and a '27 T Sedan. Hot rods are where it's at! The T will run a Stude 289/5spd combo. Other than that, all Ford stuff on it.

Muttley, brings up a VERY GOOD question!!!
With all the added posters to the site it makes it even more confusing/complex. Wouldn't having 1 screen name/profile for this entire entity be more user friendly? Different screen names? WHY? |

This is going to be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Ryan! I'm The37Kid on the HAMB but picked Roadster62 for the Ford Barn, found the Roadster body in 1962, about time I started on it. The 1912 Touring was restored in 1950 and will stay that way. Bob
