Bad Vibrations!
Got my 1928 Roadster out on the hard top yesterday and got a lot of rattles and vibrations. This is an early '28 and the motor bolts directly to the front cross member with very thin rubber between the frame and rear motor mounts. Any tips on how to lessen the vibration? At 25 mph, the noise is more subdued. At idle there is considerable "shake, rattle and roll". I have checked for loose bolts, etc. Everything is nailed down tight. Thanks, BW

Re: Bad Vibrations!
In neutral with the car parked rev the engine to 1,500 and 2,000. Does it vibrate too much? IF so, check the flywheel for balance, or you may have a center main babbit that is shot. My 9-27-28 also has the solid front mount and drives fine.

Re: Bad Vibrations!
My coupe is a 29 and I get some bad vibrations when it gets warmed up, enough in neutral to shack the headlights violently. I thought maybe my timing was off but the motor is as smooth as silk. I need to figure it out soon.
