Re: High and low cowls
The high cowl was used with the high radiator and the low cowl was used with the low radiator. The low radiator and cowl was used from about the middle of 1916 through the middle of 1923. All body styles used the same parts. The slope of the high cowl is steeper than that of the low one.

Re; The slope of the high cowl is steeper than that of the low one. You have that reversed. The the bodies for example in 1923, the transition year, going from low to high radiator, were basically the same. There would have been less slope in the cowl of the high radiator cars to were it meets the hood as the hood was higher.

And then, in '26, they changed again.
At that time the fuel tank was incorporated in the cowl and not under the seat. They are easily identified by having many more side flutes in the hood. Cheers, Rob |

Re: High and low cowls
The change-over from the low style to high style hood was sometime in early '23. Others will know the exact time frame. Some early '23's are low radiator with the 22 style windshield. John
