Default 40 Pickup Hood Supports Question

Still working on my wife’s non-stock 40 pickup build. I am using all 40-41 sheet metal save for the cab which is a 42-47.

Looking at my picture there are two holes on the cowl lip to mount the hood supports. So for those who are using/used a later cab for a 40-41 pickup build which hole did you use? Or did you have to drill one? And if so, what is the measurement from of the top of the lip to the center of the hole?

Thanks for any help you can give.

TomT

Tom,
I have a 41 pickup and the distance from the top of the horizontal lip to the center of the hole is 5 1/4". I think the 42 - 47 cab is basically the same as the 40 - 41.

Perfect - thank you very much!

So for those of you using a 42-47 cab for ac40-41 pickup build, that is the lower of the two holes on the later cab.
