More pics …..

Turns out the front suspension I used shortened my wheelbase by 3/4” and the last 3 pics show how I have suspended the fe so I can make the adjustments needed.

I am barely above a hack at all of this but I do try to do my best and I have always found a way to make things work and be safe …..

Enjoy!

That is a real nice job you are doing on that truck. Always fun working with an old friend too. Keep up the good work!

If I got my wife a 1940 pickup, she would murder me.

OMG, I thought I was the only guy in the world that stacked up lumber like that for supports under the car.
I've got two big boxes full of lumber scraps here which I have used over and over again since the early '70's for stuff like that.
I guess you could call it an economic, ergonomic, adjustable jack stand!

Oh you bet I do save all my lumber scraps. I put them to use, screwing everything together, and when that use is done with, I disassemble everything and put the wood away for the next time. I even reuse the screws. I am not cheap but neither is most anything anymore. The major reason is that when I have a need for something to be built, I have a ready supply at hand. If you read through my build thread on the Hamb I have built many body follies, frame dolly’s, my own frame rotisserie, car stands and that’s ca short list.

Bottom line, waste not, want not ….
