Re: I am hi I got a live this Siri
I drive mine in the winter but only if there's no salt on the road. Once the DOT starts using salt my "A" goes into hybernation until spring. If you drive when it is very cold I recommend using a thermostat in the cooling system. I don't have a manifold heater so I put on the gloves and heavy clothing instead.

I'm in Mich and I drive it to the coffee shop every chance I get. I do stay away from the salt as much as I can. It's a town sedan with the manifold heater and it is nice in there. My coldest drive was in 14 deg weather. It's hard to hurt a model A. If it was a show car, I guess it would stay put most of the time. No fun.

Hey Michael. I'm across the river in Mississippi. I drive all year in my model A. I haven't driven on ice, but we only get ice two times a year. Gloves and layers of clothes are the norm in my cabin.
Lowest temp in the last ten years 10 F. Warmest 115 F. Humidity is the bane of my environment. |

I drive mine all year. Our club meets every Wednesday for lunch, unofficially. I try and drive mine every week, unless it is snowing too badly.

I'm still using mine but getting close to putting it away. They use to much salt here.

Re: I am hi I got a live this Siri
Snow can't stop my A. Years ago the club went to visit the town of Levenworth, WA over the mountains from the Seattle area. After the event ended three of us went home over Stevens pass through the snow flurries and packed snow. The rest went down to Snoqualmie. A couple of us did circles in the parking lot at the ski area just for fun. We got home hours before the rest. Seems like everyone else thought the other route was safer and clear. It wasn't the snow that stopped them but all the traffic from those afraid of a little snow. I also have a set of era chains under my seat just in case (haven't used them yet)......

My A stays in a heated garage. We get 200+ inches of snow here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and they use lots of salt on the roads.

Also I drive mine all winter long when the roads are dry. Had the 29 Roadster out yesterday. Very warm here in Delaware for this time of the year, low 60s. Attached is a winter picture of my 28 Phaeton a couple years ago, not so warm that day but sunny.

Re: I am hi I got a live this Siri
The body is Dawn Gray, belt is Gunmetal Blue, and strip is French Gray per the Judging Standards these are correct for a 28 Phaeton.
