I don't know about '54s, but I had one in a 55, ex-Florida Highway patrol 2 door Mainliner. Perhaps they came in earlier Fords with heavy-duty options; anyone know for sure? I will tell you that the t-85 is almost indestructible in a stock car; the t-10 4 speed is derived from the t-85.
