Re: turn signals for a 36
Just google in 6 volt turn signals & you will get many options plus video etc. I have installed 3 kits on 31,32 & 34 cars, just follow wiring instructions. Hope this helps.

I bought a kit from C&G, easy installation. Flasher was too fast after one trip, bought the second flasher off EBay..... Came packaged by Vintage but was from Taiwan and exact same flasher as came in original kit. Second flasher still working after 130 miles though.

Do you use the stock parking lites in the front with 2 filaments or are you using an add on lite in the front? Will the stock parking lites be noticed or seen during the day and what about at nite with the headlites on?

Re: turn signals for a 36
Ford made the 36 with almost a factory option for fitting indicators.....I would suggest putting brighter bulbs or a stainless reflector in the rear light housings, as the stock lights do not show too well when used as indicators...and many motorists do not recognise flashing reds with the more common amber lights on today's cars being the norm. |

Re: turn signals for a 36
How did the halogen conversion work? I tried an H4 bulb conversion (12V) into standard reflectors. It sucks. Works OK in high beam but the low beam is just diffuse.
Problem is with the filament length not correct for the focal point of the reflector. Who did you get the kit from? What is the bulb? |

Re: turn signals for a 36
Tom, I got the conversion kit from Harris Custom Designs. Dave is the contact person @617-605-4165. The bulb is an H4, focus, brightness, and turn signal visibility all fine. Note: kit came with new reflectors, headlamp sockets, halogen and park bulbs. The park bulb was already installed in the reflectors with and extra wire for use as a turn signal if desired. One low beam bulb didn't work, called Dave and he sent a replacement right out.
