Tudor door seal
What kind of seal goes between the top of the door and the door frame?

Re: Tudor door seal
The interior windlace goes across the top of the door opening to act as a seal.

Re: Tudor door seal
the wind lace goes above and behind the door on the inside of the body. the front wind lace goes on the front edge of the door itself. John

Re: Tudor door seal
John is referring to 30/31 Tudors. For 28/29 Tudors, the front wind lace attaches to the pillar post behind the trim piece, which is riveted to the pillar.

On the bottom of the door, there is a rubber part that fits between the metal door frame and the upholstery panel. It is similar to the one featured in the Ford Service Bulletins on page 447 for April 1930. My February 1929 Tudor has this strip also. It is a flat "T" type rubber strip. This is also the same for Coupes. According to the November 15, 1929 Body Parts List...A-46530-B Strip (door bottom weather) was used on Coupes and Tudors...This strip was released on December 8, 1927. It is 26-1/2 inches long. The section with the "T" face goes to the outside and the flat side to the door frame. The "T" side is wider on one side than the other. The shorter side of the "T" side goes to the bottom and the upper side, which is wider goes behind the panel with the panel resting on the "T" portion...this side also has the slots for the attachment of the part to the door. Re: Tudor door seal
I've got the bottom seals on both my coupe and Tudor doors, and they aren't worth spit. I always drive with a lap robe in the winters.
