Default 1931 Model A slant 4 door w/rusted rear wheel well

The rear wheel wells are rusted out. Is there anyway that a alternate wheel well can be modified to fit?

Quite frankly, if you take the time to learn a little metal working you can make your own from scratch.

See my website for ideas and places to learn metal working.

There are no, I repeat no 1931 model a slant window rear inner wheel wells manufacture by any company. There simply is no demand.

If they are just rusted out at the bottom, it should not be difficult to cut out a strip and make a repair piece to be welded in.

That depends on what you mean by fit. If you mean just a physical "fill in the hole" fit then yea, I can't see why another wheel well could not be made to fill the space. If by fit you mean look like a 31 with the stiffeners in the same place, then I would believe that it would be easier to make one from scratch.

I know it sucks!

The '31 SW wheel well is not one piece. There is a vertical body seam running through it. The sedan repair panels that the vendors sell can be cut up and used for donor pieces near the rear of the well.

The sculpted area for shock arm clearance is significantly different than what is on the replacement panel so it's best to cut and form new metal there. If the wheel well is rusted through, there's a good chance that some repair to the body rail will also be needed since it forms the other side of the crevice that fills with water from the rear side windows.

Unfortunately for me, the body is a rust bucket. Much replacement sheet metal will be required. The rear wheel well is completely rusted away. Much, much work will be required. From what is being said, I will need to learn sheet metal forming and sheet metal welding. Thank you all for your help!!!!

I can feel your pain, having a '31 slant Murray myself.
Lucky for me mine was stored inside for the 58 years that she slept.
But I have found that Model A'ers are a very resourceful and creative bunch, I'm sure this can be done, and done well.
Take your time and do the best you can, and it will turn out fine.

That is not a bad thing! In my view, restoring a vintage automobile is an constant exercise in learning and perfecting skills. As you master one set of skills, it becomes a spring-board for mastering what the next challenge presents.
