It should require the same size restrictor as the Ford by-pass filters, .060. If I remember correctly the post on the HAMB reference the .060 restrictor.

Check the oil flow path from the inlet to where it goes into the center tube.
It is possible that any restriction hole/s is installed in the center tube just as there are holes in the stock bypass filter center tube.
