Re: Eddie Meyer or Offenhauser?
The big decision to be made is "regular" (carbs biased towards the rear) or a "Super" (carbs positioned over the two sets of intake ports on the engine). I favor the latter (which requires "straight linkage") over the former (that may or may not) use a progressive setup.
Actually if you have a pickup, you would be better off with a small 4BBL, or even better, a small base Rochester 2G on a bored out 4 bolt late model Mercury manifold. It doesn't look as cool, but drives a lot better. If you do decide to go with 2 2BBLS, make sure you stay away from those restrictive little chrome air cleaners. Lookin' good is not always important as runnin' good. |

I like the Edelbrock Slingshot.

Re: Eddie Meyer or Offenhauser?
It all depends on which manifold . . . the brands are more about whose name do you want to advertise.
For a stock style engine, the original Eddie Meyer with the big two-carb riser will work well . . . as will the Edelbrock Slingshot. Given that you can buy an Edelbrock Slingshot for a fair price (as long as they have them to ship), that would probably be my choice. The nice thing about the "high-rise" type manifolds - is that you can still run your generator in the stock position - this makes things a lot easier (as far as installation and configuration). |

Re: Eddie Meyer or Offenhauser?
This is a problem of aesthetics'. The 2GC would be a better option.
