IMO, you have a clean slate for your design of wind wing glass. I suggest you look at some other car with wind wings to see how they fit, then design your own, maybe using cardboard cutouts to get it right.
It's been about 20 years since I gave up trying to keep the glass in and started using acrylic material instead. I have even gone to the extreme of drilling right through the clamps and acrylic and put a small bolt and nut in there. There is NO hope of me ever losing one again.

This is a great reminder for me to tighten those clamps up. Passenger side glass landed on the running board during my 1st drive with the Roadster. Glad your "new" wings are working out.

I used ANGEL TAPE to hold my windwing glass in place. Angle Tape as seen on tv" available at ACE hardware. Just be sure to have the where you want, that stuff is very sticky and double sided.
