Radiator shell Aug 1930 Cabriolet paint
The MARC guidelines book I have says paint lower section black and don't buff. Does anyone know correct paint for judging... gloss, or semi-gloss, enamel, or lacquer?
Thanks, Kim |

Ok, so far I am leaning towards satin black lacquer like the back of the chrome windshield and inside the instrument panel.
Thanks

Is there thin strip all the way around the inside edge of the shell that is also satin black?

Re: Radiator shell Aug 1930 Cabriolet paint
Thanks, I was wondering about that tiny edge, too, as I made my template. However, another judge confirmed it can be gloss or satin black, but NOT buffed or polished, meaning a just paint and good result, without tape lines, is best to go for. Mine is satin for the windshield, all the inside, but gloss for the lower radiator. It will look OK regardless.

Gloss lacquer un-buffed is what you need.
