I don't want to tell you your business, but that "C" head is only 4.6 as compared to the stock A of 4.2. Not much improvement. If it were mine, I'd find a 5.2-6.0 head and use a Model A water pump. I run an A police head on a B engine.

Watch the taper on the shaft of these pumps. Mine needed lots of work to correct it . See Vinces site for more information http://www.fordgarage.com/

Higher compression does make a noticeable difference. I have a C type head with the three bolt water pump on one of my engines , it does make a noticeable difference in power and cooling. See the Pirano (sp) dyno tests, they show VERY little if any difference in horsepower between the Brumfield or Snyder head as compared to the model B head with the letter C. I really have to wonder if the 4.6 ratio is correct for the C head as the dyno tests show very little difference.

All of the model A water pump parts are the same as the B pump except the impeller and the shaft is longer. The model A water pump shaft can be easily shortened and used with the model B water pump. I have done this many times and the model B pump cools better and doesn't force water out the over flow tube like the model A pump can.

thanks all...as for the head...yes I do have others....BUT...this engine appears to have been rebuilt a long time ago - as the head bolts don't look like the easy off type - very rusty - since it runs so well now - with no appearent leaks - except for the pump....I'll just keep my B/C head on...
