Default 1941 truck headlight switch

I recently bought a 1941 headlight switch from Dennis Carpenter and I find it impossible to install. The switch body is so large that it interferes with the cowl vent brace. In addition, the nut is so small that it goes through the hole in the dash. Does anyone have a picture of what this switch should look like, or some advice that will resolve my problem?

My advice? Buy a NOS switch. There is one on eBay at this very moment.
eBay item number:
