Re: Dome Light Conversion to LEDs
Be careful with LED conversions if you have a positive ground system. Unlike incandescent bulbs, LED's are polarity dependent.

Re: Dome Light Conversion to LEDs
In the instructions in #1, it says to use #3528 LED strip lights, and says to reverse the connections for use in a positive ground situation. This appears from be from a Model A site, perhaps the OP could post a direct link to the writeup?

Re: Dome Light Conversion to LEDs
It uses a piece of 3528 LED strip - wired into a bulb base, I assume. LED strips usually require 12 volts. Premade LED bulbs are a better alternative.

While a neat idea, i personally don't you my dome light enough the bother with a conversing to LED.
I do use a LED in my dash light to prevent from burning my fingers while feeling under the dash rail for the switch.

Re: Dome Light Conversion to LEDs
These are really small, how do you get them to work with the socket?

Re: Dome Light Conversion to LEDs
I believe the BA 15 is the correct physical size for the dash. If in doubt call them, and have your bulb handy and a 6 inch steel ruler in case of questions.

The base is actually 5/8" diameter. Standard designations overtook us in the '70s - BAyonet 15mm Single contact. BA = straight pins, BAY = offset. |
