I like all the women mentioned above! But they all look a litter sexier in high heal shoes. That is just my opinion. I don't tell them they are ugly in they are wearing tennis shoes. People who make negative comments about other people's stuff just need to get a life and quit trying to bully people. Or Maybe I am wrong and we should be rude.

Phil,

You're spot on. It take less energy to bring others down to one's own level than it takes to raise one's self to a higher level.

ppl on this forum need to understand it is just that, a forum. This is not the State Department whereby every word must be approved by a politically correct english specialist.

as soon as differences of opinion show up (and the vast majority of the forum is just that....opinion....there is very little fact )....too many readers run and hit the "bully button"

and on the good side, we are ever so close to 2000 views!!! 1900 and change!!

When I went into the Army the first thing that happened was we all had to go to the barber shop and get whitewalls.

On the few period photographs that show Model A's with whitewalls, you may note that the whitewalls were on both sides of the tire. Denman used to make a double whitewall tire back in the sixties, but none of the tire producers currently making tires have seen fit to continue that practice. I agree with various comments above as to body colors and which type looks "better" (depending on body and wheel colors) in those instances - bottom line is that it's all in the eye of the beholder - "tomato / 'tomahto' ".

Good one Tom, I had forgot about that. First lesson in discipline, along with standing in line for every thing. Being a got to get it done guy it was very hard to stand in line for every thing.

It was called "hurry up and wait". It started at Division level at a time set, Regiment CO said, we'll get there 30 minutes ahead of time, Company COs said, we'll form up 30 minutes ahead of that, 1SGs said, I want all your asses on the parades field, standing tall in ten minutes.

It's kind of like on modern cars, I can't stand the big whale tales on "rice rockets" but some people obviously like them. The Model A might have come from the factory with black walls, but some people like to accessorize their cars whether Model A or modern. If a particular accessory makes the owner happy, then it is ok. I just have the right to not have it their way, or to have it my way.

Tires are like shoes. Not everyone takes a size 15 2E like I do. Some like New Balance, others prefer Reebok, Vans, Nike, etc. Some prefer cap toes over wing tips. Regardless, almost all of us have different tastes in footwear. I'm sure our forefathers in the 30's were no different; they had far fewer options to choose from, both in shoes and in tires. Those that wanted white walls (and could afford them) bought them. Then, as now, it comes down to personal preference and budget.

As for me, I love ALL stock Model A's whether they are wearing all black or black & white rubber. I'm enamored with the simplicity, durability, beauty, style, functionality, craftsmanship, and engineering that went in to each one of the cars and trucks. I appreciate all of the years they have been around, and on the roads. I'm thankful I have my own piece of rolling history I can preserve for future generations.

I just went to the garage and looked at my 29 a special coupe, by the time i purchased white walls, a leisure suit, a pair of white patent leather shoes, white patent leather belt and a gold neck chain, it just was not worth the expense. I will just keep the black walls.
