Default Dry Lakes 50's Nitro and Methanol

Have been looking at control line planes.

Point being.

Most people that went to the lakes in the 50's were REAL familiar with nitro and

'special fuel' from doing control line airplanes.

Whereas like in the 80's it was 'Gee.Nitro and alcohol? That is a big ole' new

thing we have to learn about'.

So it was not really a big leap to run it an engine with it.

With the planes you add oil. That is because it is the ONLY oil the engine will

get.

With car engines you add some too. Just not as much.

Just thought that was an interesting slant.

On running nitro and alcohol.

Have found out some other stuff too.
