Hood Latch Spring Attachment 1950 F1
I need help positioning the hood latch spring that comes with the Hood Latch Mounting Pin Kit for a 1950 F1 (Part # 7C-16897-KIT). So far I have been unsuccessful and wondered if someone who owns a 1948-50 F1 would be kind enough to take a picture of the spring correctly attached to the hood latch handle.
Thanks so much, Jetman Last edited by jetlr1; 10-16-2018 at 07:15 AM. |

Re: Hood Latch Spring Attachment 1950 F1
From what I can see in this, the spring is used to hold the handle in its parked position to prevent rattling.
Once it is all assembled you should be able to figure out how to place the spring to achieve that.

I have tried several attachments of the spring at the bottom as well as the top, but none of them worked successfully. The shape of the ends of the spring arms suggests these ends will be hooked over something. I'll keep trying. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. I can't believe this has me stumped. Thanks |
