I'm sure it was taken in the 30s sometime. It was still a Standard Oil filling station in the late 40s because I lived there. My dad operated the station and we lived in a small adjoining apartment. One day my dad was out filling a car up, my mom went out to take care of a customer at the counter, I decided to play with the fire on the stove, caught my pant leg on fire, was rushed to the hospital 13 miles away. I never played with fire ever again!!!! My older cousin was born in that boarding house. All is gone now....just dust. Roads are hardtop and the memories are clouded with cobwebs. Damn!!!!! I'd go back in a flash.....................

Neat picture. What is that hanging by the tree? It is shaped like a Shell Oil sign...

Yes, the boarding house was also a Shell Station and I lived in the Standard Station across the road, can't see it clearly but between the stations is a road into town where the railroad is...still. To the left of the tree is old route 67.

Resolution is too low - I blew them up and still couldn't ID the cars.
