With Cecil being out of tickets I think we may be looking at a drawing by the end of February.

You mean you can't do like the Government does when they run out of money? Just print more!

With all the winners who have preannounced, maybe one part will go to each of them.

I think the car raffle price for tickets and the odds or the number of tickets printed was very fair. Compared to a lot of other car raffles/fundraisers it is about the best bargain I have ever seen.Mayby this is because of the generosity of the donor with no investment into the prize but I bet the foundation could have done a lot better raising funds. If tickets are already almost sold out they could have probably sold a lot more especially into the National meet time. Must have needed some quick cash.Again not complaining about the odds but think they missed a better opportunity for fund raising in a longer period of time. Car appraised at $40,000,tickets to sell $40,000. very fair.

I agree with you they could have sold twice the amount of tickets and still would have been a good deal and made more money for the foundation.

Understand the rationale but there is another side to the discussion...if the raffle were open-ended, how many folks would have bought tickets? I bought mine because I knew that there would be a reasonable chance of winning. I don't buy lotto tickets because the odds are so outrageous that it is just a waste of money. This was a very generous gesture on the part of the owners, some day I wish that I will be in a position to do the same to support such a worthwhile cause.

I have belonged to the V8 Club since 1971 and this is the best raffle I have ever seen the Club ,well actually this is for the foundation ,do. I remember at the 1973 Grand National the first when it was safe to have them in Dearborn a new 1973 Pinto Squire wagon was given away about 1978 or so one of the meets raffled off a restored 47 or 48 convertible and that is about it for cars as I remember than came along engines. All of these other raffles were given a lot of coverage in the magazine before drawing probably at least 6 months prior. Its all good though very fair for all.
