Anyone recognize this piece?
I picked this up at a yard sale over the weekend. I know it isn't Model A but am hoping someone can help me figure out what it fits and whether it's worth anything.
Thanks, Ray |

Could be from any number of cars back in that era.I had a 30 Chevrolet that had design apron. It had a chrome part that snapped down into the crank slot.Mine was all beat up from the crank too.

That piece goes between the chassis rails in front of the radiator on a 1929 Chev.

I agree with Synchro.
I have a 29 Chevy, and the crank hole cover is black with a chrome front cover, and they are hard to find. Even harder to find are the two stand tubes for the headlamps. I still need a pair. |

Re: Anyone recognize this piece?
That is the piece that Mike's (or is it Mac's?) 'Between the frame horns' tool box is made to emulate. As I have had a number of cars of the late 20's and early '30's that had that aerodynamic 'apron', I really like that Mike's made a under the radiator tool box that looks like it is part of the car. Of course it does not hold nearly the amount of 'stuff' that the ugly square box holds, but it does have a much better aesthetic eye appeal.
