Default Front fender welting 32 tudor

Does the welting under the front fender start at the firewall and run all the way to the front of the frame? If it does, do you cut out for the rivets on the front cross member?

Are you referring to the beaded fender welting on the side of the frame forward of the running board or the flat 1/16" x 2" body to frame welting? If the latter, then yes, all the way to front end of the frame.

As Newc notes, your front fenders are not going to fit correctly if the rivets for the front cross member are not flush with the top of the frame rail..

Maybe the front crossmember was replaced because it is attached to the frame with low profile square head bolts. I have attached a picture. I could grind them down if they are suppose to be flush.

Maybe? For sure, as the cross members were attached with rivets, not with bolts either on top of the frame rail, on the side, or on the bottom. The three bolts shown in your photo have no V portion of their shanks directly beneath the heads so when you grind off the heads there will be nothing left to hold the bolts or the cross member in place other than the remaining bolts on the sides of the frame (and presumably the bottom). If you cannot use the proper countersunk head rivets, at least use screws with flat countersunk heads

Good advice, and thank you for the knowledge that these should be countersunk rivets. I would never have known the difference if it weren’t for your well written response to my questions. I will take off one of the bolts and see if I can find countersunk bolts that will work.
