Default Merc Fender Removed

My crude repairs on the 52 Merc won't appeal to many but for the few that are interested in low buck farmer fixes to keep an old car on the road, here is the latest. Temp warmed up to near 40 degrees this weekend so I was able to work in comfort removing the rusty right front fender. As expected I'm going to have to fabricate a new lower corner for the body where the lower rear quarter of the fender attaches. I found a piece of a New Holland baler shield that has the right thickness sheet metal to make a patch. Light enough to form easily but not so light that an amateur mig welder like me will burn right through it.
