Help With Part I.D.
I bought my '36 3W coupe about 10-years ago, with several long term work stoppages for medical & moving "experiences" and just started back up on the restoration of the car. I identified almost all the various parts, either in zip-loc bags or with tags. One part, I'm almost positive I got with or from the car, was the part pictured below. I have no idea where it fits in the puzzle, even after looking through vendor catalogs, so I come to y'all with a red face and hat in hand to ask if anyone can tell me what this part is for.
Many thanks for any help you can provide. -Bob 20211104_112553 by TagMan, on Flickr 20211104_112529 by TagMan, on Flickr |

Re: Help With Part I.D.
Looks like something from Ace Hardware. I've removed and replaced every nut and bolt on 34, 35 & 36 Fords and never seen anything like that on either. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Re: Help With Part I.D.
I'm in the process of restoring my 36 Fodor and I don't think that part goes to a 36. I would hold onto it and see if you come up short in the end but I'm really doubting it. It could be worse, you could be asking where to find that part!

Re: Help With Part I.D.
OK, thanks, guys. I appreciate your input. Makes me feel better that it wasn't a part I neglected to tag. Things got really mixed up during the move.
Thanks again, -Bob |

Looks like a capitchulating arm with nimbus spring and a loafing pin in it for a sears sleeper sofa!!! It helps to modulate the gimroy!!

V8COOPMAN & cas3:
I think you both nailed it! I had a '37 C***y coupe many years ago and I converted it from the vacuum starter to a mechanical starter. I must have saved that part and it got mixed in with my Ford parts. Thank you - it would have driven me crazy wondering what it was. -Bob |
