Default Anybody tried HYDRO GRAPHICS?

An alternative to traditional woodgraining for dashes and window moldings is a water transfer process using film. It's often referred to as hydro graphics. It's the same process used to apply camouflage patterns to gun stocks, bows, arrow shafts, etc.

Several companies offer this service for car parts, including valve covers, wheels, dash trim, etc. Obviously, this is for the muscle car crowd.

I've seen some photos of antique car dashboards and window moldings that have been "woodgrained" in this fashion. The results are impressive.

Has anyone used hydro graphics for their Early V8 Ford? If so, are you pleased with the result? Displeased? Why?

Thanks.

I haven't tried it, but did get a quote of $550 for a '32 dash. Anybody know how that compares price wise to a conventionally hand grained dash?
