56 Victoria rear bumper
Has anyone converted a 56 club sedan rear bumper into a 56 Victoria bumper by cutting the holes and bending the steel in?

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
Why would you bother to go to all that trouble and finish up with a job that was not 100% ? I have just returned home after visiting the Long Beach Swap, plus the Good Guys event at Pleasanton. At both events, there were racks of recently re-chromed Bumpers to suit a wide range of cars including rear Bumpers for 56 Ford, both plain and with the Exhaust Cutouts. Costs from one Seller was $300 for the Plain and $350 with the Exhaust cut-outs. Another Seller had them for $350 and $390 respectively. They were even less if you had a "core" to Trade-in. The above picture shows the Rack of just one of the Sellers. There were quite a few Vendors selling these re-chromed Bumpers. Hope that this helps. |

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
Do you have a name for these companies? Best estimates I have come up with is 450.00 to 600.00 to get mine re-chromed..

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
I'm pretty sure about the most well known one is called "Bumper Boyz" out of somewhere in California I believe. I've seen them at Good Guys shows before.

Here's a link to some admittedly older reviews of their work. On the car owner forums, not a 'review' site or a bumper boyz page, it seems most of the reviews are not complimentary. https://www.google.com/search?q=Bump...utf-8&oe=utf-8 . Last edited by dmsfrr; 04-15-2017 at 10:51 AM. |

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
Yes, I read the reviews too. Sounds like not a very trust worthy group of boyz.
Sorry for the recommendation. Sal |

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
There was no shortage of Vendors selling Re-Chromed Bumpers at the Long Beach Swap. These pictures are from the Goodguys Event at Pleasanton and show the Bumpers in various stages of the Chrome Plating Process. Most Vendors had Bumpers to suit most makes of popular cars. If your particular Bumper was not on the rack, chances are that they had one back in the Shop that they could prepare for you. |

I guessed at the shop name on the canopy roof in the second photo, googled it and got this... https://www.google.com/search?q=D+%2...utf-8&oe=utf-8 Their phone number matches the one painted on the trailer in the second photo too. . Last edited by dmsfrr; 04-20-2017 at 05:28 PM. |

Re: 56 Victoria rear bumper
Yes, I did get Business Cards from some of these Vendors. This is what I have:-
D & R Chrome Corp, Huntington Park LA www.dandrchrome.com 1(855)3-CHROME The Bumper Shop, Florence Ave LA [email][email protected] (323) 585-3865 Showtime Chrome Plating, Huntington Park LA [email][email protected] 323/864-2698 Rangel Bumper Repairs, Hawthorne, CA (323) 338-8509 or (323) 245-8597 I believe that these Bumper Shops are actually located in California. I hope that this information helps. Mercman <>< |
