downdraft carb
I'm putting a downdraft intake with a #94 carb on my Model A. The motor has a "B" cam and a 5.5 Snyder's head. What kind of pump is a good buy and what kind of fuel regulator and what pressure should I run? thanks

Re: downdraft carb
Under 3 psi. Napa has a "low pressure" electric pump that is rated at I think 4 psi, but mine is mounted down inside the frame and the pressure at the carbs is between 2.5 to 3 without a regulator. That is with 5/16 inch steel tubing with hose connectors at the pump and carb ends to allow for vibration.

Snyders sells the appropriate regulator for a Stromberg downdraft. 1 1/2-2 psi.

Re: downdraft carb
Holly makes a pres. reg. for the Holly 94. It comes preset at 2.7 PSI. Be sure to use a pres. gauge to be certain of the pressure. Summit part # HLY-12-804.
