Ha! I recently bought from Barnstuf an emergency brake shaft/arm (the one that is used on the center brake.) NOS, it had the Ford red tag still on it with the Ford Part number.

Why doesn't someone reproduce these tags as blanks which can be used to identify parts for those that come beyond us? The red tag would be eye catching, would indicate to ones heirs that a part has provenance and use and is worth saving (not simply an old unidentified car part of unknown attribution) and certainly a message to those that go on that THIS is a Ford part for the car downstairs (in my case parts are kept upstairs in the barn.)

Just a thot.

Are the shelves particle wood? If so they will be drooping in a hurry due to weight of the parts.

Unbelievable collection of parts, very impressive.

The shelves and cabinets are all antiques and of nearly the same vintage as the parts. Some of them originally displayed wares at Marshall Fields here in Chicago. They were bought for the museum from a very large "hoarder" of antiques in Chicago that was featured on American Pickers a couple years ago.
